🔶 What are the Problems with Existing #L1s?

There’s no denying that #Ethereum has achieved tremendous success

In just a few years, it has:

• Created > $150B in value for DeFi

• Generated > $35B in NFT sales

• Supported > 11K DAOs

But it's not without its problems

[#THREAD]

Nous connaissons tous les #bridges de #token, mais une nouvelle tendance commence a voir le jour et peut représenter le futur des #NFTs : le Bridge #NFT 👀 🌉

Concrètement comment cela fonctionne ? 🔥

C'est par ici 👇

#Blockchain #Crypto #Ethereum #Bitcoin

1/ The journey of @iota [MONSTER THREAD] - From the top 5 token to the top 50 token and why it will at least get back into the top 5.
2/ #IOTA was founded in 2015 with the aim and vision of developing a #DLT protocol in which people and machines, can communicate via data & value tx permissionless, feeless, efficient and with the least technical requirements -

At that time they already attracted the attention of the then much smaller #crypto community.

The thing with #crypto and #bitcoin is that right now practically everything that’s out there is built on the same “usecase” - speculation, casino and pyramid schemes (#Defi). So that is exceptionally vulnerable to Fed moves. However, there are now so many smart & motivated...
... people working in #crypto & on making the #blockchain a useful tool in our lives that betting against that innovation is now pretty poor risk reward. There are thousands of usecases that may or may not require a token, but they will be built:
- identity on chain makes identity theft impossible & where would you store it if not on the most decentralized one (ie $BTC)
- voting will be done on chain, instant results no fraud
- clearinghouses will disappear as the #blockchain replaces settlement (albeit a centralized one)

Thank you @MikeThaInvestor for hosting @DanSimerman! Dan starts out with "IOTA has seen quite a transformation" "We have taken a step back and really wanted to focus, build, and deliver." "The sleeping giant is awakening!" People don't realize the scale and scope of our vision.
Anyone can copy #Bitcoin or #Ethereum and say they are unique, but #IOTA really is unique in a very literal sense. Mike comments on the Tangle, a DAG instead of a normal blockchain. Dan: in 2015 the #IOTA founders realized a new architecture was needed to break out of limits.

This bull market’s top-performing token? It’s @ZapProtocol -a @chainlink $LINK alternative that represents the most decentralized oracle proxy for smart contracts.

A THREAD👇🏼:

#Bitcoin #defi #crypto #eth #ERC20 #oracles #bondingcurves
fxstreet.com/cryptocurrenci…
$zap is a multifunctional blockchain solution offering full liquidity for many #DeFi use-cases like data monetization, token creation, & creating various #DApps. $zap smart contract templates use #bondingcurves, algorithmic market makers that provide liquidity for the protocol.
In comparison w/ @chainlink, @ZapProtocol allows users to create #decentralized #oracles using #smartcontract templates, and to buy and sell the oracle tokens in an open fully-liquid marketplace.

0/ Reasons why you should be #Bullish on $BAND @BandProtocol

If you are bullish on #defi and smart contract adoption, you want to get exposure to needed middleware like #oracles. Smart contracts can't access real-world data and APIs, and oracles like $BAND solve this problem
1/ Chainlink dominating 97% of the entire oracle space having the first-mover advantage. $BAND was founded in 2017, on the market since late 2019 with now around 2.6% of chainlinks market cap.
So the question is how big can $BAND grow and capture value relative to $LINK?
2/ If we look at other spaces eg smart contracts, $EOS & $ADA are around 10-15% of $ETH's market cap

Exchange token show a better ratio with $HT at 40% of $BNB value while $OKB and $FTX are around 10%

If $BAND does a similar ratio of ~15% of $LINK - that puts it already at ~$25

I see the (#ETH) public chain private chain debate the same way as centralized/internal #oracles and decentralized oracles (#LINK). Companies started using private chains, as it's easier to test with, it's private from the competition and they have higher throughput right now.
Endgoal is still public chain. This is very clear and specifically confirmed by market leaders like #EY's Paul Brody recently again, #Gartner and #Capgemini. The real value of immutable ledger and end-to-end secure smart contracts lies with the open, decentralized way.
It just takes time till companies can/should use public chain. Privacy is one condition to be met before this happens for example.

Just as these companies test around with private #ethereum chains, they test around with private/centralized smart oracles.

The key value of #Blockchain is immutable state and censorship-resistant access to that state

Unfortunately state changes are limited to direct user inputs, which isn't ideal for contracts that affect multiple parties

This space is still missing the other half of the equation
What we're missing is a trust-minimized and provably secure off-chain agent that can reliably trigger a state change on the behalf of the contract's beneficiaries

Importantly, that state change can be based off of the real world data ALL traditional real-world contracts require
I think you know what I'm getting at

>>> Oracles <<<

The vast majority of useful #SmartContracts will need secure oracles as the data they require to execute is off-chain

#Oracles are the bridge between the on-chain world and the off-chain world

The gatekeeper so to speak
