Inspired by the Bank street walk @MattPinder1 did last week I decided to walk Bronson from Sparks to Hunt club (or as far as I get), going to tweet along to way about what I see and improvements that are coming in the future for pedestrians and cyclists. @ShawnMenard1 #ottbike
My friend and I took some e scooters to get to our starting point, luckily there was a good bump out zone to park them off the sidewalk.
Within the first Block of the walk we encounter our first pedestrian detour.

7 trains this morning. Contract awarded based on 17 trains #OTTlrt @OC_Transpo
17 somehow turned into 15 (never fully explained) so weekday peak became 13 with 2 spares.
Weekend is supposed to be 11. Now @OC_Transpo is 4 short on final weekend of Winterlude.

Great to meet Kyhber. He came to Canada as a child fleeing war in Afghanistan. His father was murdered. His mother was beaten for getting the family groceries. Now he operates the big #ottLRT trains. You never know who’s driving you home more later @ctvottawa Image
He loves his job. He loves this country. “I am in heaven every day.”
There are problems with the trains...it has been a bumpy launch for Ottawa’s LRT. But Khyber says it will get better. And he has a unique perspective. On our worst days this is nothing like Afghanistan.
