What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received in your career?

Sharon our Head of Nursing Workforce said: "One of my ward sisters advised me to not feel pressure to decide about an area to specialise in. The benefit in nursing is you can gain experience in many fields."

The @CareQualityComm have today recommended that St George’s is moved out of Quality Special Measures! The report found “significant improvement” has been made since our last inspection – great news for patients and staff.

The overall ratings for the Trust, and for St George’s and Queen Mary’s Hospitals will remain as requires improvement and we know there is lots more work to reach our ambition of #OutstandingCareEveryTime
⬆️ Many of our core services have also improved. Our Children & Young People’s service is now outstanding, a fantastic achievement, and Surgery at St George’s is rated good.

Our Outpatients service improved its rating to good for safety and requires improvement for well-led. Image
