ओवैसी के मुसलमान दक्षिण पंथी विचारधारा के अनुकूल है मगर भारत के प्रतिकूल। ओवैसी की राजनीति का धर्म बदल दीजिए, वह बिल्कुल दक्षिणपंथ की राजनीति लगेगी। यह आइडेंटिटी पॉलिटिक्स तो है ही इसे एक्सक्लूसिविज़्म भी कहते हैं।

ओवैसी को सबसे अधिक समर्थन मुस्लिम नौजवानों का इसलिए मिल रहा है क्योंकि वह देश में हिंदुत्व की राजनीति का जवाब चाहता है। इसका जवाब उसे अपने धर्म गुरुओं, संगठनों और सेकुलर दलों से नहीं मिलता है तो वह ओवैसी की तरफ देखता है। दक्षिण पंथी राजनीति को भी यह बात सूट करती है।

If there is an "divider in chief" in India, it is Indian seculars and communists. They lied to deny a temple existed despite overwhelming evidence and instigated Muslims to riot. Mulayam's police opened fire, killing hundreds. Seculars ride on corpses.
