The decision of @CAF_Online, under the presidency of @AAhmad_CAF, to cancel a 12-year (2017-2028) contract with @Lagardere_SE_fr, guaranteeing them a minimum of ONE BILLION DOLLARS, is the biggest faux pas in its 65-year history. And responsible for CAF’s current financial mess. 
As you can see, I have the agreement between @CAF_Online & @Lagardere_SE_fr & have read in full, using my legal eyes to study it. I can say, very boldly, that unless CAF reach a settlement with them, they are financially doomed. And that will be disastrous for African football.
In the interview request I have put to #PatriceMotsepe, the current CAF president, I have asked him what has been done, since he took over in March 2021, to settle this case with @Lagardere_SE_fr. I hope he grants the interview and provides me, and #Africa, with an answer.
Breaking: In an embarrassment for #PatriceMotsepe, the @CAF_Online President, @SAFPU_Official, #SouthAfrica’s Players Union, declare their strong opposition to CAF’s plan for an #AfricanSuperLeague, which will be put before the CAF congress in #Arusha, #Tanzania on August 10th.
In a separate discussion I had with a top executive of @AlAhly @AlAhlyEnglish on Friday, he told me @CAF_Online was yet to give his club “concrete details” of how the Super League proposal will work.
“We were invited to #Cameroon for the last #AFCON, where the preliminary plan for the #AfricanSuperLeague was put to us & selected clubs from across the continent. But no concrete details, on the finances and other important details, have been given, up till now.”
