Anyone from Gutu? A “Mupandawana DA Office” is listed as having received US$2,6 million, one of the largest amounts. Then a “Mupandawana Gutu” got a loan of US$82,400.00. Have seen evidence of these loans in your area?
1. It’s not often that one is given special treatment by an authoritarian regime. Patrick Chinamasa’s rambling statement is a poor attempt at obfuscation; literally creating dust to no avail. Instead of creating a straw man, those who got State loans must #PayBackTheMoney
2. Claiming I’m attacking Land Reform is cheap politicking to deflect attention. Chinamasa is just making a loud noise without addressing the core issue: Political elites took public funds with a duty to pay back, which duty they failed to meet, transferring the debt to taxpayers
3. They were not ready for this moment & the statement suggests it was made by someone in a state of disorientation & bewilderment. As I have said before, Chinamasa & the ZANU PF cabal are conflicted because they were the principal beneficiaries of the Farm Mechanisation Scheme
Good evening, Hon. @TembaMliswa as a fan of the sweet science, I subscribe to the Queensbury rule that you don’t beat a man who is down. But this package was left for you by a fellow citizen. Surely it’s plain that the BSR only confirmed an existing confession? #PayBackTheMoney
For non-Shona speakers, Hon. Mliswa is essentially admitting that he & others received equipment under the Farm Mechanisation Scheme and that he did not pay for it. He also says “takazvidira jecha” meaning they enacted the RBZ Debt Assumption Act to avoid their indebtedness.
He is also saying that he knows another scheme where (NSSA) money was corruptly given to companies and political elites and that he wrote to the President with names & asked for a forensic audit. He also wanted names of the beneficiaries disclosed.
1. You have to understand how this system works. This has been a tough weekend for ZANU PF because it’s accustomed to setting the agenda while everyone responds. The Farm Mechanisation Saga was a curve ball hence the confusion & tantrums. But expect a counter-offensive.
2. If you’re a faithful student of Sun Tzu you’ll understand the importance of keeping higher ground & not exhausting resources. Be patient. As the week unfolds you will understand why you got some but not all the information. Expect some viciousness but don’t mind them.
3. The Sunday Mail mission was a dismal failure. But they won’t stop. They will concoct all sorts of things with a view to deflecting attention and recapturing the agenda-setting role. But whatever you do, don’t forget to remind them to #PayBackTheMoney You know who got what.

2/ Facts are important. This is information you & others were certainly privy to during your stint in the former PM’s office. You could’ve spoken about it then if you had good intentions instead of waiting years later to act as though it’s some kind of revelation/smear campaign
3/ It was indeed a good programme that should continue to benefit others too who did not previously benefit. Land reform & the supporting programmes are great empowerment initiatives that I support wholeheartedly. It’s critical for Govt to come in to support the farmer
1. My motive Hon. @TembaMliswa is to uphold the Constitution of Zimbabwe. Remember the oath you took when you became an MP. It requires you to do that, too. It’s core values include transparency & accountability. Public officers like you are enjoined to safeguard public property
2. So no Hon. @TembaMliswa my purpose is not to assassinate any character. In any event, there has to be character 1st for it to be assassinated. All I ask for & I suspect other citizens also ask the same is that you & other beneficiaries please carry your cross #PayBackTheMoney
3. The very idea of government assuming debts of able-bodied and financially-sound individuals or who present themselves as such is immoral & unjustified. Why should poor taxpayers fund the lifestyles of other individuals? That you don’t see a problem with it is a big concern.
