Saw Dr Claire Taylor today at her private clinic. Shes taking a break from twitter atm but i just want to say it was a fantastic appointment. She was open to my ideas, explained where she disagreed & why, & prescribed some meds i think will really help

We also have a plan to identify whether longer term anticoagulation is warranted, based on the DASH score and antiphospholipid syndrome testing. This does mean coming off apixaban for 1 month which obvs worries me

I felt very supported as a patient. Money well spent!
Because im quite stable atm, im not going to start or stop any meds until after xmas.

Very grateful shes opened her clinic and if youve hit a brick wall with treatment for #LongCovid and related problems, id highly recommend!

What evidence have we got for vaccine induced #longcovid like presentations?

A thread 🧵 (focused on human evidence rather than theoretical or mechanistic)

#PostVac #teamclots #vaccineinjuries
I will start by saying the *published* evidence is limited. Therefore going off published evidence alone is (by definition) incomplete (same for any research: the active researchers have a knowledge advantage)
1. This was first reported in the mainstream in Jan 2022 by Science mag:
science.org/content/articl…
Importantly, there are a handful of such cases in the trials that were excluded from final analysis, one is described in the Science article

Its my 20 month vaccine anniversary today.

I now take: ketotifen, sodium, statins, anticoagulants, antiplatelets, H1 and H2 antihistamines, plus vits/mins to address deficiencies and high needs, and some supplements

I still feel like crap

#postvacsyndrome #LongCovid
These meds address:
😞Mast cell activation syndrome
😞My inability to produce aldosterone (endocrine dysfunction)
😞Endothelial damage
😞Clotting
😞Platelet activation
😞Unexplained hyperhomocysteinaemia (i.e. no MTHFR variant)
Luckily for me, people believe me. But some only seem to believe me because I agree with them about other things, because i take issue with the same people they take issue with, because i havent gone on media they dislike

And that is a HUGE bias we need to overcome

Coverfoto „Pychosomatische ...

Many #PostVacSyndrome patients stayed silent for quite some time (~9 months in my case)

We stayed silent because we didnt what to spread vaccine hesitancy

We didnt know we were not the only ones

How did this pan out? 🧵

#vaccineinjuries
Many spent months feeling isolated, everyone else getting vaccines seemingly with no problems (sometimes because they werent talking about side effects either), feeling like there is something uniquely wrong with themselves
Doctors who meet their first post vac syndrome patient had no knowledge that possibly their other patients are suffering similar. Thus repeatedly we hear "its rare", and theres nothing that could help

Cause matters when discussing illness.

Understanding the cause can help direct what tests to do, what treatments to have, and in some cases improve safety for products or pharmaceuticals

Context is essential for clinicians to help effectively
Some examples:

Having flu like symptoms can be from infection or drug withdrawal

Tremor can be a sign of neurodegenerative diseases like MS or a head injury

A rash can be from allergies to washing detergent or infection
It would be absurd to go to your healthcare provider & not mention youve been exposed to an infectious person, are withdrawing from drugs, had a recent head injury, or you notice a trend when you use different detergent

These add essential context & clues as to tests & treatment

„Mikroglia“, quasi Bindeglied zw. Gehirnzellen & Immunsystem).

am starting to prepare the data from our #vaccineinjuries #PostVacSyndrome survey for analysis today

just having a look at the raw data output and this stands out. most participants report no health problem that affected their day-to-day living prior to the offending vaccine screenshot of a survey question: Before getting the COVID19 Screenshot of survey question asking: "After the COVID1
after the offending vax general health was reduced to being very poor

even those who had no indication something could go wrong, who led completely unrestricted lives, had their world turned upside down after vaccination
many already chronically ill folk seem to have on their mind that they might react badly (and there was a distinct lack of chronic illness patients in trials), and indeed it seems ME and long COVID patients have a high prevalence of severe reactions (maybe around 20 %).

My mean platelet volume has been elevated and was BEFORE the vaccine. This study suggests it may link to thrombosis and inflammation
ingentaconnect.com/content/ben/cp…

Maybe a predisposing factor to #PostVacSyndrome #vaccineinjuries #LongCovid?

#TeamClots
High MPV can be caused by #VitaminD deficiency, which i had BEFORE my vaccine (measured historical sample), and is now rectified.

My MPV remains elevated still. Maybe vit D initially triggered it, now the damage is hard to fix?

Maybe something else driving high MPV? 🤔
Super activated platelets have to die: sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/…

Could this mean hyperactivated platelets = shorter cell life = more young platelets = higher MPV?

#LongCovid #postvacsyndrome #TeamClots #microclots

Spitballing here, have about 20 papers to read on MPV already 😆

I´m #vaxinjured.

I´m a scientist working in the pharm. industry.
In 2020 I was very excited about the announcement that mRNA technology is ready to be used as vax – finally! I knew that there were benefits, I knew that there were risks.

I went for my 1. jab of #pfizer & got heart inflammation incl. further symptoms #postvaxsyndrome. I could only move from bed to desk for 3 months. I live in the 3. floor & couldn´t leave the house anymore. I was lucky to be able to work remote. I was lucky to have a partner (2/n)
..who took over everything else. ❤️ Not everyone else is so lucky. I struggled about discussions on a 2. jab & vax mandates.

Since none of my docs had an idea what has happened I tried to do some research on my own. I met other vax injured in social media. They started ... (3/n)
