Das Schengener Informationssystem (SIS II) muss UK wie erwartet verlassen. Das bedeutet, dass 36.828 Personenfahndungen und 4.576.398 Sachfahndungen zum 1. Januar 2021 gelöscht werden müssen (die Zahlen sind von 2019:

UK nutzt auch verdeckte Artikel 36-Fahndungen sehr intensiv, sowohl durch Polizei als auch Geheimdienste. Dass die Behörden dies als sehr großen Verlust betrachten, wurde vor einigen Jahren bei einer Anhörung im Parlament deutlich:
