Civil activist #Bekzadina Elvira reported about her illegal detention.

At 12 noon, Elvira went to the monument to the Victims of the Holodomor to commemorate the victims of Bloody January. The whole territory was cordoned off with an iron fence, there were many policemen.

After Elvira laid flowers at the monument and went towards the #ZhastarPalace, a paddy wagon stopped in front of her, four #SOBR officers ran out of there, attacked Elvira, took her phone and pushed her into the paddy wagon.

Nagashybay Sharikenov, 61, was detained on January 11, 2022 by #NSC officers at his home. NSC officers searched his home, confiscated two books (probably religious literature) and two telephones, according to his wife. Nothing else was found at home.

On 5 January 2022 Marat went on a peaceful protest where he was a gunshot and taken by unidentified people to the city hospital #7.Doctors diagnosed Marat with an“open multi-comminuted fracture of the lower third of the two bones of the right tibia caused by a gunshot”.

On 8 January an armed special rapid response unit (SOBR) burst into the hospital, took the half-naked wounded patients, including Marat, outside by beating them and shoved them into a prisoner transportation vehicle.
