PM @narendramodi inaugurated the #PurvanchalExpressway - a 341 km long, access controlled, six-lane expressway (the longest in Bharat) that connects Chand Saray near Gosainganj in Lucknow district with Haydaria in Ghazipur district. The construction was completed in 3 yrs 👇 
at a cost of ₹ 22,500 crore. Just to give you an idea about some of the infrastructural developments at different points along the course of the expressway, 22 Flyovers, 7 Railway Overbridges, 7 Major Bridges, 114 Minor Bridges, 6 Toll Plazas, 45 Vehicular Underpasses,👇
87 Pedestrian Underpasses and 525 Box Culverts were also constructed along the way. This is what CM @myogiadityanath has done to UP.

At 1:30 PM today, 16th Nov 2021, Purvanchal Expressway will be inaugurated.
2002: Project was announced by Mayawati. Connecting Lucknow & Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. Nothing happened after this till 2015.

2015: Foundation stone was laid by Akhilesh. Project changed to Lucknow-Azamgarh-Ballia Expressway.
Nothing happened after this till 2017. The project got stuck with difficulties in land acquisition & allegations of scams.

2017: The project was re-routed by Yogi Adityanath to ease land acquisition to Lucknow-Azamgarh-Ghazipur.
2018: 95% land acquisition was achieved in June. Foundation Stone was laid in July. Construction began in October.
