It's Friday, wine night and time to write a thread on NFT's, inspired by my chat on @RugRadio. I think people are massively underestimating what is going on... and its only (very) partially to do degening with monkey jpegs and dickbutts...

An NFT is a "smart" "contract" "stored on a blockchain". We all know that.

But have you thought what that really means???

Well, there are 3 component parts:
"Contract" - almost every single agreement in society in the broadest sense is a contract - be it written, implied, verbal from religious vows to airline tickets, from meeting a friend for a rum or using Twitter. Contracts are literally a base layer of society that build on trust

Was travelling for most of the weekend, so wasn't actively following the #rektguy price action. I figured I'd chime in, and put pen to paper on some of my thoughts.
I don't think the Rektguy moves were surprising. In a market badly starved for good memes, the Rektguy is a perfect example of something that almost everyone can relate to. Add to it that it's backed by @osf_nft and @greatmando_nft, two top tier builders in the space
The art itself is awesome, and more unique than I expected pre-reveal. The minting process was smooth, and allocations were simple. @AlienqueenNFT 1/1s look amazing, and add character to the collection.
