Insektenschutz sieht es umfassender, nicht nur in der Landwirtschaft – begrüßenswert. Wie komplex aber oft einfachste Forderungen sind, 1 langer Thread.
Pkt 4 fordert Artenvielfalt im Grünland. Tatsächlich sind Magerwiesen – 1x jährlich gemäht, nie gedüngt – mit über 50 Pflanzen- und 100en Tierarten je Hektar vielfältigster Lebensraum in Mitteleuropa. (Übrigens Kulturlandschaft, ohne Mähen Verbuschung → Rückgang Vielfalt)
Dementsprechend sind Magerwiesen schon jetzt oft geschützt. Je häufiger gemäht (und gedüngt) wird, desto mehr sinkt Vielfalt: Intensivgrünland ("Fettwiesen") mit 4-6 Schnitten je Jahr haben nur noch 10-15 Pflanzenarten/ha. Trotzdem deutlich mehr als Acker, wo nur 1 Art wächst.

I don't usually talk politics on here, let a lone local ones, but as many of you are (interested) in conservation, I'll make an exception. There's a ballot initiative in my native Bavaria proposing changes to the state environmental law to reverse biodiversity decline.
While it's about biodiversity in general, the actual campaign slogan is 'Save the Bees' #RettetdieBienen. And needless to say, a lot of the images they use are of, you guessed it, the domesticated honeybee.
Therefore I was a bit apprehensive about reading their ballot measure at first, but I was relieved to find that there is nothing in there about promoting or subsidising beekeeping.
