Pre-covid, my work was on maternal mortality, and 1 way to decrease MM rates is to listen to women. What I notice in #returntoschool debates are that we are not listening to families we claim are most negatively impacted by #virtualSchool.

Since then, I've learned that over 30% of teachers have conditions that would place them in the vulnerable category. Are we willing to risk teachers health and life to reopen schools? What impact will a teacher death or hospitalization have on our students?
