The agency conducted a "social listening" program that focused on "Anti-Vax" keywords like "Medical freedom" and "personal choice"

And it flagged offending social media users.

The CDC report on TikTok "Misinformation Trends" included:

A TikTok user who "promoted COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy by saying there's now way to know who is spreading COVID-19, vaccinated or unvaccinated."

The CDC knew that information was true.
Around that same time, the CDC "misinformation trends" kept tabs on accurate statements about Omicron.

This user's "misinformation"?

Diminishing "the threat of the omicron variant" and criticizing the Democrats.

That account was suspended...

For the avoidance of doubt, I absolutely support women's #RightToChoose - it is not for ANY authority to tell people what they can or can't do with their bodies. Anger is justified, but not enough; this is an issue around which people must #mobilise and begin taking back #agency.

I am a doctor. I have seen countless cases where a very wanted pregnancy has very real complications. There is so much nuance lost in making this a political issues. Let women and their doctors make the extraordinarily difficult and personal decisions that such situations need.
