We’ve made it to Portland where the skyline is barely visible from the east side of the Willamette, the air quality here tonight is “hazardous.” With the fires burning in Oregon, upwards of 500,000 people have had to evacuate their homes. That’s 10% of the state’s pop #KOMONews

Headed to #Clackamas County where the county fire PIO confirms to KATU firefighters have been told to disengage from the massive #RiversideFire and encourage citizen evacuation on the way out. Firefighters are going to safe zones #LiveOnK2
Now this, from Sandy Fire: "As a safety precaution if you are able to voluntarily evacuate now under Level 2 this will help reduce traffic congestion in the event we reach a Level 3."
