Welcome to my neighborhood. In just the past few months, I have counted at least 3 people losing their lives on Hanoi Boulevard. The most recent one was just a couple of weeks ago. All deaths occurred at intersections. 
At six lanes wide, Hanoi Boulevard is designed for maximum vehicle speed and volume. Yet is placed in a complex urban context, with stores, schools, houses, markets, and factories flanking its route. This is why roads such as this are so deadly.
Speed kills. A road designed for speed kills, whether road users wore a helmet or not. A street designed with safety in mind actively addresses vehicle speed and has multiple layers of features to prevent and mitigate crashes.

கடந்த சனி அன்று இரவு 8 மணிக்கு ஒரு நல்லவர் எனது காரின் பின்புற பம்பரை சிதைக்க, நான் 100ஐ அழைக்க, ஏட்டைய்யா திருப்பி என்னை அழைத்தார். சம்பவத்தை விவரித்தேன். யாருக்கும் எந்தவித காயம் இல்லை. எனவே spot photo எடுத்து விட்டு கிளம்புங்கள்.

நாளை மாலை 3 மணிக்கு ஸ்டேஷன் வாருங்கள் என கூறினார்.
நெல்லையில் ஆய்வாளராக இருக்கும் நண்பரை அழைத்து process சரியா என cross check செய்து கொண்டே வீட்டுக்கு கிளம்பினேன்
ஞாயிறு மாலை மீண்டும் ஏட்டைய்யாவை அழைத்தேன். திங்கள் காலை 11 மணிக்கு வரச் சொன்னார்.
நெல்லையில் ஆய்வாளராக இருக்கும் நண்பரை அழைத்து process சரியா என cross check செய்து கொண்டே வீட்டுக்கு கிளம்பினேன்

10.45க்கே சென்றேன். மனு, RC, Licence, Insurance etc கையில். கொடுத்து விட்டு காத்திருந்தேன். யாருக்கும் உட்கார இடம் இல்லை. என்னைப்போல ஒரு பத்து பேர். பெரும்பாலும் கூட 2/3 பேர். நானும் இன்னொருவரும் மட்டுமே தனியாக இருந்தோம். 30 நிமிடம் கழித்து வந்து வேலை குடும்ப விபரங்களை கேட்டார்.
