His name is Drew. He’s a stranger. And he’s the only reason I finished my first half marathon. Felt great until Mile 8, when my calf cramped and seized up so badly I had to hop to the curb. I don’t have any running experience, so I had no real idea what to do. #runcolfax (1/4) 
I’d just passed a great sign on the route. I spent a couple minutes stretching and massaging the cramp but had trouble putting weight on it. Drew ran up and called to me. “Let’s go! Let’s get going!” I limped along as we talked and before I knew it, I was running again. (2/4)
Without the kindness of this stranger, I’m not sure if I would have known I could push on - I wouldn’t have made it alongside him up the hill onto 17th - I wouldn’t have run by my daughters cheering at Mile 12 - and I wouldn’t have finished. Drew saved my day. (3/4)
