This is the entire individual work of a mortal human being: to remember him. It’s in you, waiting to be discovered. We who have already remembered are under covenant to help others remember, because he loves them as infinitely as he loves each of us.

I don’t assume that even a prophet knows every extensive detail about the future—sometimes they know some, others times very little. The Lord instructs & they obey. Like us, prophets sometimes see the fruit of their obedience in hindsight, not clear foresight. We do, then we see.

Habits, appetites, evils, & temptations are not the only false masters. Hobbies, talents, self-interests, even relationships & people, can usurp the true King’s authority in your life. Does this thing draw you closer in proximity & likeness to Christ, or lead you further away?

So much of the recent escalation in sin & cultural degradation can be traced back to what individuals do in their private spaces. In an internet age, it’s easy to make home a place where one can safely hide & fuel dark distractions.
How crucial it is to our salvation, happiness, & peace that we make our home in the Lord, that we make our private spaces bright with the light of Christ, so the place we come to for safety & rest is truly, actually safe from the world.

Have you ever met someone who was not beautiful by worldly standards, but their spirit & personality were so bright that you couldn’t wait to see them again? I have. I’ve also known ppl who were born w/ worldly beauty whose inner darkness could suck the air out of a room...
Physical senses are easily deceived & make terrible discerners of beauty, goodness, & truth. How important that we learn the lessons of spiritual discernment, self-mastery, & heeding the Holy Ghost.

In the story of the lost sheep, a lot of emphasis is placed on the Shepherd leaving the flock to find the lost one. It should be noted how thankful a shepherd is for the sheep he can count on to remain safely in the fold, being nourished in green pastures, while he’s away.
Too many people in this perilous world mistake shelter for confinement. They bolt into the unknown expecting thrills & liberation only to find exposure & vulerability to fatal hazards. Heed your Shepherd, little flock. He loves you enough to die for you, & he has seen it all.
