On this day in 1982, US helped Israel massacre at least 1,300 Palestinian & Lebanese civilians in #SabraAndShatila refugee camps. Image
The massacre was carried out by right-wing militias that Israel had trained, armed, & sent to "do the job" with clear US approval.
The Israeli army used flares at night to light the way for the right-wing Lebanese militias to the refugee camps.
