The University of British Columbia' s Museum of Anthropology held the first academic monster conference (“Sasquatch and Similar Phenomena") in May 1978, there was more planned a so-called Anthropology of the Unknown series, but they never took place. ☹️
Papers presented at the 1978 conference were published in two books -

We’re here for another #TetZoocryptomegathread. Once more, we’re looking at images of a supposed dead cryptid, not a live animal. I refer to the MINNESOTA ICEMAN, the claimed carcass of a recently deceased hominid implied to be a ‘prehistoric man’ or #bigfoot-like creature…
