Yang bingung dengan trending #SaveSpiderMan, jadi sampai hari ini, Spider-Man masih menjadi milik Sony. Statusnya di MCU (Disney) adalah dipinjamkan. Karena tidak mencapai kesepakatan, Sony berencana menarik Spider-Man dari MCU dan menaruhnya di Spider-verse-nya sendiri.
Ini berarti, untuk ke depannya, Spider-Man tidak akan lagi berbagi panggung dengan tim Avengers. Alih-alih, ia akan melanjutkan Spider-verse yang sudah dimulai dengan film Venom dan Spider-Man Miles Morales. Kemungkinan terburuk, Tom Holland akan digantikan oleh orang lain.
