Equity = Assets - Liabilities

But what asset and liability values are we going to use?

The answer as always: it depends on what we are going to use it for.

Here is a summary of equity metrics, from the most conservative:

Price/”Net-Net” Working Capital (P/NNWC)

Classic Graham/Dodd strategy

Assumes: Use only most liquid current assets, deduct subjective discounts.

Conditions (often missed in screens):
1) Not consuming assets (melting ice cube/negative cash-flow)
2) Historical profitability

Finding right stocks which suits your profile isn't easy. Takes lot of time & info is scattered all over.
Compiling & making sense out of it is just cumbersome. Watching for alerts & news is another nuisance.
How to stay focused & not get diverted with new ideas every day ?

I faced all these CHALLENGES & I am sure most of us do. There is no one right solution. It's like trying to achieve salvation. No one path is right but Jumping paths will just leave you wandering.

Many school districts are deciding to use 'survey' or 'questionnaire' #screeners (asking teachers a series of questions) for assessing #dyslexia risk instead of directly assessing the child. It's very problematic for various reasons & can harm our #dyslexia advocacy efforts1/6
1) Several research studies have shown that teacher surveys are poorly correlated with the actual performance of a child, especially at the beginning of K (or any grade since teachers are still getting to know the student). It' important to DIRECTLY assess the child's skills 2/6
For example, this study bit.ly/36Gve6e: shows "..teachers’ judgments of students’ early #literacy skills alone may be insufficient to accurately identify students at risk for #reading difficulties. So, why are we still using these? 3/6
