The FG has an "Economic Advisory Council" with seasoned Economists - what do our States have?

The development of Nigeria cannot be achieved alone by the FG.

We need State Govts
We need Local Govts
We need Private partnerships
We need NGOs/CSOs
We need FBOs
We need You
Some States don't even have Executive Councils, the Governors are in charge with unilateral decision power.

If State Governors don't get Governance right, the little the FG is doing will never be enough for most Nigerians to feel good governance.
The FG budgets for Basic Education from its Revenue share....2% of whatever the FG makes goes to UBEC to be shared among all States + FCT.

Unfortunately, these monies are not fully accessed by many States.

Does your State care enough to allocate first line charge to Education?

Children who are deaf are faced by myriad of challenges. Besides the general challenges faced by PWDs,the advocacy has focused so much on delivering wheelchairs forgetting the deaf often. Here is a list of challenges faced by the deaf backed up by data. @KTNKenya @citizentvkenya
Deaf are often assumed to be dumb/mentally handicapped and people treat them like children. This has not only led to self esteem issues but also mental health challenges because they keep feeling left out and misunderstood.

1. In 2016, as a Youth Corps member serving at ECWA Kauna Secondary School in Bauchi State, upon discovering that most of the students in my classroom could not read, write or spell well, I started an after School program to teach reading, writing and life skills.

2. This program evolved into an organisation now called Olatayo Educates, named after my Mother.  Olatayo Educates provides quality learning, and skill development  for teenagers in Public Secondary Schools beyond the traditional school curriculum. ✨🌿

This morning we participated in the International Summit of Colleges, Universities, and Ministers of Education at the sideline of the 74th UN General Assembly facilitated by @UNDPAfrica Advocating for the need to advocate for #SDG4. #UNGA74 #UNGA
We are here to say to the people of our continent that what happened in South Africa a few weeks ago does not represent the South Africa of Nelson Mandela. It cannot be correct that a minority would want to attack our brothers and sisters from the African Continent. #UNGA74
"In order for education outcomes to translate into better labour market outcome, we need to have adoptive policies, with inherent monitoring and evaluation instruments which will easily detect the success and failure in skilling for the labour market." #UNGA @UNDPAfrica
