South Carolina urgently needs to upgrade its voting system from paperless "direct recording electronic" voting machines to a system that is secure and auditable. Cybersecurity experts agree that hand-marked #PaperBallots are the gold standard.
We agree with Lt. Col. Shaffer that South Carolina -- and other states -- should take cybersecurity experts' recommendations seriously & adopt hand-marked paper ballots to ensure #SecureElections.
