1/3 Once >50s and clinically vulnerable people have had #Covid19 #vaccine, the tradeoff of benefits and #harms for #TestAndTrace and #asymptomatic testing in particular changes rapidly. My take at @bmj_latest #CovidUnknowns seminar yesterday
2/3 Big issue - when #hospitalisation #deaths low and the vulnerable protected, why would we ask #children #parents #essentialworkers and other non-Zoomocrats to #SelfIsolate, #test over and over to leave home? Listen to @bmj_latest #Covidunknowns webinar
3/3 Will we really ask the groups already most affected by #economic and #mentalhealth impact of #Covid19 to #SelfIsolate indefinitely when life opens up for others?

This is misleading messaging @SwaleCouncil - please delete and re-word. Always, always state *clearly* and early that even with a negative test you can be infectious. This could backfire, and badly. #COVID19
Every test invitation should start with a caution about false negatives. A negative test is *not* a licence to stop social distancing #COVID19 @SwaleCouncil.
Also we know from #Liverpool that people who can't afford to #selfisolate aren't getting tested. This issue now getting attention - in today's @Telegraph @guardian and last night's @BBCNewsnight. My blog here. jackiecassell.com/time-to-suppor…

#COVID19NIGERIA We have all heard about how the @NCDCgov toll free number has been inundated with phone calls. So much so that it is difficult for them to attend to priority cases. Let's #TakeResponsibility for our #COVID19 response by cooperating with the authorities. 1/n
#COVID19NIGERIA We now have more people who were exposed to newly identified #COVID19 cases. If you fall in this category, your first action is to please try to STAY CALM. Your next one should NOT BE to call @NCDCgov BUT TO #selfIsolate. This is how to #selfisolate👇🏾. 2/n
#COVID19NIGERIA If you traveled to #Nigeria in the last 2 weeks from a country with widespread #COVID19 including transiting there for >24 hours, the FIRST STEP is to #selfisolate. The same applies if you have been exposed to a confirmed #COVID19 case. #TakeResponsibility 3/n

Watching @UKParliament statement from @MattHancock.

Very glad to see collegiate approach from @JonAshworth & @MattHancock and great to see thanks to the Paymaster General, @NazShahBfd, @wesstreeting, @SayeedaWarsi, @BoardofDeputies the concerns on forced cremation have been met.
I'm concerned MPs who due to the outdated voting system are putting their health at risk as they need to scrutinise the #CoronavirusBillUK but should have been able to scrutinise this virtually. /1
I'm worried for all those there and think its mad that @MattHancock who looks ill is having to deal with people like @SteveBakerHW and @CarolineLucas who are being so rude to @MattHancock and the other MPs. /2

For all my friends wondering about #COVIDー19 and #coronavirus and especially those returning from travel or exchange, I wrote a short thread of some ideas to keep in mind... 1/n

#COVID19Ontario #COVIDCanada #SocialDistance #selfisolate #WorkFromHome
First: if you are returning from ANY TRAVEL, please self-isolate for 14 days. Stay home, use a separate room/washroom, don't touch your face, wash hands, etc. More info below 👇. 2/n

#selfisolate: bit.ly/2TQ5ela
#WashYourHands : bit.ly/2x33FqT
When buying supplies, please avoid hoarding. We must ensure that there is enough supply for healthcare workers and vulnerable populations (e.g. those w/chronic diseases or the elderly) who may have trouble getting what they need. 3/n

The good people at @CTVNews are collecting how many cases and where they are in Canada in a handy map: ctvnews.ca/health/coronav…
And given that we’re all cooped up… let’s make some charts. From Canadian numbers you might think that Ontario is not the place to be… but cases per million people might be a better estimate of risk.
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u…
In that case, it’s British Columbia that rises to the top, at 14 cases or so per 1 million people. (That’s just under Portugal, which has about 16 cases per million people at my last count.) Here’s a map to that effect: datawrapper.dwcdn.net/Yv1Qx/2/
