1. Every time I go to an HDFC ATM, I remember an incident that happened nearly 10-12 years ago. It was an ATM near Sarakki. I was standing in the queue to get in for nearly 15 mins. The person inside the ATM was struggling to operate for some reason.
2. Running out of patience, I knocked on the door and asked if there is any problem with the machine. He sheepishly smiled at me and told me "swalpa help maadi, options arta aagta illa".
3. I went in and saw that he was struggling with the English UI of the ATM. I helped him complete his transaction and inquired about his profession. He told he works for a garment factory and was here for the first time to draw some money from the account.

ಅಮರ್, ಗಣೇಶ್, ಅರುಣ್, ಆನಂದ್, ವಸಂತ್ ಅಂತಹ ಅನೇಕಾನೇಕರು, #ಬನವಾಸಿ_ಬಳಗ, #ಕರವೇ ಮುಂತಾದವರು ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಇವತ್ತು ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಾನಲ್ಲೂ ಇರ್ತಿರ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ,ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಾಮೆಂಟರಿಗೆ ಮೂರ್ಕಾಸಿನ ಕಿಮ್ಮತ್ತೂ ಇರ್ತಿರ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ.ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ...ಇವತ್ತಿಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿ ಟ್ವೀಟಿಗು,ಪೋಡ್ಕಾಸ್ಟಿಗೂ ಬೆನ್ನು ತಟ್ಟಿ , ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದೂ ಇವರೇ!
ಇಂಥ ಮಹನೀಯರನ್ನೂ, ಇವರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನೂ ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸಿ, ಯಾವುದೋ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ತತ್ವದ ತೆವಲಿಗೆ ಇವರನ್ನು ಹೀಯಾಳಿಸುವವರನ್ನ ನೀವು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುವುದೂ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅದನ್ನ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ "ಚಮಡಿ" ಸುಲಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಉಗಿತಿನಿ ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅದು ಹ್ಯಾಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬಂತು ಸ್ವಾಮೀ?

A govt. which promises #ServeInMyLanguage should translate all laws in all possible languages used by people of that union. Not find excuses like this.

#ServeInMyLanguage gives confidence to the customers of the service. When private entities try to reach out their customers in their own languages, what is stopping union govt. of India? #ServeInMyLanguage to serve me better.
