There’s no excuse for political violence. And yet, I suspect if western democracies had genuine sovereignty (especially over immigration policies), much of the wind would be knocked out of any further attempts to kick off some sort of global resistance movement.
Those involved in preventing further terror need to understand the “cultural backlash” grievances documented by scholars like @PippaN15 @GoodwinMJ @epkaufm and the open-source movement work of @johnrobb.

Richard Russell's death was symbolic.

He represented a desire all of us long for; freedom.
The freedom of not working a 9-5, five days out of the week just to go home and watch mindless programing,
