Roman was born in Sloviansk, Donetsk region. In his peaceful life, he worked as a crane operator. He liked to fish and play the guitar. At the end of 2021, Kasyanchuk went to serve under contract in the Armed Forces. He served as a driver in the Airborne Assault Forces.
