Today is the day for #InternationalSlothDay! I've drawn #SciArt of #sloths including giant browser Megatherium, giant digger Lestodon, freshwater swimmer Ahytherium, and tree climber Bradypus! More will be added through this thread... 
Also i add my other drawing for the sea #sloth, thalassocnus. This one was used for Palaeocast Art competition, but i didn't win anyway...

Not all sloths are the same. There are 6 species in total.
4 species of three-toed sloths and 2 species of two-toed sloths.

The brown-throated sloth (Bradypus variegatus) is the most common three-toed sloth. It is found in Central & South America.
Commonly between 40-69cm, and can weigh as much as 6.5kg.

The Pygmy three-toed sloth (Bradypus pygmaeus) is critically endangered, with 79 left in the wild in 2012.
These smaller #sloths (~50cm long) are found in Isla Escudo de Veraguas in Panama.
Other than being smaller, they generally resemble the brown-throated sloth above.
