Hmmm. I missed this live tweet from #SmallRod Rosenstein’s speech yesterday. Rod really said that DOD is working on the vote-changing op? Seems to insulate that part of our defense from Barr’s interference, no?
This quote from Rod’s speech suggests that election protection is being treated as a “combat” operation. That counters the despair-troll line that nothing is being done to protect us, and Trump’s already a dictator who will never leave office.
Interestingly, the whole DOD involvement seems to characterize election interference by Russia (and perhaps other nations) as an ACT OF WAR. If we are in “combat” to fight it, doesn’t that follow? It reopens the door to overt treason charges many thought closed.
Here's the thing with #Rosenstein - a lot of folks trusted him bc they were certain he wasn't part of the conspiracy.
He wasn't.
He was just a garden-variety coward who cared about nothing more than his comfort and retirement.

In other words, a “survivor” (and they mean, “by stepping on the corpses of others.”)
I think #Rosenstein chose to be a small, small man. And we should honor that choice. By henceforward calling him #SmallRod - don’t you think?
