My AI-powered service sent 500 podcast summaries yesterday (up from 0 the day before 😂)

Here are 10 lessons I learned from scaling it up so quickly 👇

But first a shoutout to @bentossel for mentioning podmate.co in his newsletter AND to @levelsio, whose bootstrapped approach discussed in makebook.io inspired ALL of this 🙏

1) Log everything! 🪵

I use @googlecloud logging libraries for all the components of this service and it has been *instrumental* in tracking down errors. I actually get a text message anytime something breaks, so it’s really easy to quickly debug + fix.

Imagine a team where everyone is focused on a single task in complete alignment!

You could get 2x output - or more!

What if I told you you could do that as a #solopreneur?

I've figured out ways to implement similar approaches while running RPGMode.com

Here's how:
1. Work in sprints, days and blocks.

I split my month into 2 sprints of 2 weeks & plan all the stuff I need to get done.

I split my weeks into 2 meeting days, 1 thinking day & 2 doing days.

Each day is split into 3 blocks of 2 hours each so that I can bunch tasks together.
2. Productive procrastination.

If I get bored/frustrated with one task, I switch to another task - of the same brand. Context switching load is reduced and I'm still making progress.

Of course it's not always possible.

In that case, I switch to no-brainer tasks like admin.

We all face the challenge of conveying complex information clearly, concisely. Here is how to explain highly technical, detailed, or nuanced concepts without getting confused, feeling stupid, and angry?

Logically align objects and make them look beautiful.
2) Deconstruct: Deconstruct your concept with the help of a list, stages, or layer, especially in emails, memos, meeting agendas, presentation talking points, and business letters:
Draw attention to important information.

For about 2 weeks, I felt depressed, unmotivated, and grumpy. Consequently, my work started to suffer.

Today all that changed, because I gave some love again to my diet, exercise and sleep...

For the last 2 years, since I left London, I lived well. I had good quality meals , almost daily exercise (when I was able to go out surfing), and I slept 8 hours regularly. My mornings usually started with a 15 min meditation and I didn't sleep too late.
I was able to focus well and became calmer in the face of difficult decisions. I started working on my startup with clarity of mind and purpose.
