#BREAKINGNEWS – @punitgoenka finds his white knight in #Sony, signs non-binding term sheet for merger of @ZEECorporate with #SPN. SPN to hold 52.93% stake in the merged entity, while #ZEE shareholders will own the remaining 47.07% stake. Sony Promoters to infuse $1.575 bn.
The merged entity will remain a publicly listed entity in India with Goenka as MD & CEO. The majority of the board of directors of the merged entity will be nominated by #Sony Group.
Combined entity will own 75 TV channels, two video streaming services (@ZEE5India & @SonyLIV), 2 film studios (@ZeeStudios_ & @SonyPicsIndia) and a digital content studio (StudioNXT), making it the largest entertainment network in India, bigger than @starindia & Disney India
I’m seeing a lot of commentary on the ending of #SPN & the recent Spanish dub & am disheartened to see there are a lot of misconceptions that are making many in our family feel unheard & unsupported, so I’m calling a #SPNFamily meeting to sort a few things out for the record:
There was no conspiracy within the network, staff, or cast of #SPN to minimize or erase representation from the narrative & there was no alternate ending to 15.18. Dean was always too stunned in the moment to reply. (Apparently a rogue translator penned their own dialogue.)
Also, in my opinion Cas doesn't play into the "bury your gays" trope. His declaration of love saves Dean, enabling Sam & Dean to save all of humanity. And Cas doesn’t die! He actually goes on to rebuild heaven!

And one of my faves from Season 1. The libraries in early #Supernatural were insanely dramatically lit. Like this one from S1, episode 5. Calls to mind Citizen Kane's Thatcher Memorial Library. Instantly clock-able for a nerd like me.
