It is written in Sanskrit language and Telugu characters, dated Śaka 1326 _(rasa-nayana-agni-chandra)_, Tāraṇa, Pushya, which is equivalent to 1405 A.D., January 1, Thursday.
It records the gift of the village Origāṇi, situated in Velnāṁṭi-sīma to the god Mallikārjuṇadeva

చుట్టలు చుట్టుకుకుని పాలసముద్రంలో శ్రీమహావిష్ణువుకు తల్పముగా ఉంటాడు ఆదిశేషుడు. ఏడు పడగలతో శ్రీవారికి గొడుగు పడుతుంటాడు. ఆంధ్ర రాష్ట్రంలో ఒక వైపు కర్నూలు జిల్లాలో నల్లమల శ్రేణి, మరోవైపు చిత్తూరు జిల్లాలో శేషాచలం కొండలతో తూర్పు కనుమలు విస్తరించి ఉన్నాయి

అటు నల్లమలకు పైన కానీ, ఇటు శేషాచలం కొండల కింద కానీ మరే పర్వత శ్రేణి లేక కర్నూలు నుండి చిత్తూరు వరకు విస్తరించిన ఈ కొండలు ఒకే భాగంలాగా ఉన్నాయి. అయితే తూర్పు కనుమలలోని ఈ భాగాన్ని తరచిచూస్తే మధ్యలో అనేక కొండలు, గుట్టల శ్రేణులతో చుట్ట చుట్టుకుని ఉన్న ఆదిశేషుని రూపం పోల్చి ఉన్నాయి.
ఆది శేషుని పడగల వద్ద తిరుమల, మధ్య భాగంలో నవనారసింహ అహోబిల క్షేత్రం, చుట్ట చుట్టుకుని ఉన్న ఆదిశేషుని చివరి భాగంలో (తోక) జ్యోతిర్లింగ క్షేత్రమైన శ్రీశైలం ఉన్నాయి. ఆది శేషుని నోటి వద్ద పంచభూత లింగ క్షేత్రమైన (వాయులింగం) శ్రీకాళహస్తి ఉంది. విశేషంఏమిటంటే ఆదిశేషునికి ఏడు పడగలు.
