soooo, now that there's been two soccer events on the same night in chattanooga and some of you are probably wondering what's up, it's time to gather 'round the ole twitter box to read an oral history of the chattanooga soccer warz from the old days to today, as told by Whiskey.
USL: "hey CFC. you guys are pretty cool and have a good thing going. y'all should turn professional and join our league."

1. @ChattanoogaSocc has announced that they are bringing a @USL_D3 franchise to Chattanooga. The problem with this is that Chattanooga already has an established club, @ChattanoogaFC.
2. @ChattanoogaFC just completed its tenth season, with a history of success in a top amateur league, the @NPSL. As with any relationship, we’ve had good times and bad. @ussoccer has thrown hurdles at NPSL’s attempts to form a pro division, which keeps CFC amateur.
3. I’m not going to bore you with an argument about why bringing in a professional team to capitalize on the goodwill built by a successful amateur team is bad. I’ll let others, including @ProRelForUSA do that.
