According to #Statista Pvt insurers across India held around 49 % of the industry’s market share in FY 2021, compared to 36 % by public sector insurers. Standalone health insurers had a market share of around 8 % and specialized insurers had a market share of over 6 %

Public sector insurers are facing challenges such as low profitability, high claims ratio, outdated products, poor customer service, and lack of innovation. They have also been unable to compete with the aggressive pricing and marketing strategies of the private players.

Sodele, ich hab mal ein bisschen gerechnet. Wer mich kennt, der weiß, dass ich um große Zahlen gern einen Bogen mache, aber es gibt zwei Exemplare, die mir schon bitter aufstoßen: Summe 1, ich nenne sie die #Lufthansasumme: 9 Milliarden, Summe 2, in nenne sie die 1/8
#BER-Summe: 428 179 128 Euro, die der Bau des #BER jedes Jahr Steuerzahler*innen kostet (flughafen-berlin-kosten.de). Ich bin weiterhin von folgenden Zahlen ausgegangen: ca. 33000 Schulen in Deutschland (siehe #statista) mit 10,8 Millionen Schüler*innen in ca. 360 000 Klassen 2/8
(bei 30 Schüler*innen pro Klasse). Ausgehend davon, dass eine OP-Maske etwa 60 Cent kostet (Packung mit 50 Stück ca. 30 Euro) könnte man von dem oben genannten BER-Betrag pro Schüler*in 66 Masken kaufen, das würde für 13 von 19 Wochen im Schulhalbjahr reichen. Hochgerechnet 3/8
