When Child Sex Trafficker Jeffrey Epstein Was Cosmo’s Bachelor of the Month…
1992: The Mail on Sunday published a yarn on their supposed romance under the headlines, “The mystery of Ghislaine Maxwell’s secret love.”

Which puts their meeting around the time of her father’s death.
“Despite the dubious fame of having been nominated as Cosmopolitan magazine’s Bachelor of the Month,” the report added, “Epstein walked into her life at a time when she was desperately lonely.”

It never easy to estimate the depth or extent of damage done by military rule. It's corrosions never go away. It's like we're in a civic #StockholmSyndrome - folks who get trampled by military abuses & misadventure often have an infinitely elastic capacity to ask for more abuse
It's terribly unfortunate that ppl who claim to be "constitutional" lawyers will justify soldiers ransacking a newspaper house, abducting journalists & confiscating computers, none of that procured with a court order or search warrant - basic niceties of rule-constrained process
The constitutional guarantee of free speech allows for limitation but that can only be done "by law reasonably justifiable in a democracy". Soldiers are not law unto themselves & it's not reasonably justifiable in a democracy for soldiers to go abducting ppl or ransacking media

Hi friends,

I have a personal story to share.

I’m sharing it now because I’ve gotten into a few Twitter fights, I think because a sort of weird part of my life is causing a lot of misunderstandings.

I’m hoping disclosing will help.

THREAD (1/25):
So, you may have noticed I have a lot of Northern state pride and a significant chip on my shoulder against “The South.”

I absolutely do.

It is not conceptual, though, or philosophical, as a lot of folks assume. It is deeply personal.
In 2002, at 19, I had recently failed out of college in Massachusetts because of severe depression & I was living on my own surviving on expired cereal, when along came this family from North Carolina who were “church planters.”

They targeted young people who were vulnerable. 🙋🏻‍♀️

1. I remember when you angry #Trumpkins stormed into #Republican Party; called #Conservatives “cucks”, “leftists”, “Killary voters”, “libtards”. You idolized #Trump in a cultic way. You fraternized with alt right #racists. You winked at #sexism. ->

2. You said #Conservative principles didn’t really matter, though you really couldn’t tell us what #Conservatism means. Of course, your leader didn’t know either; his attempts to articulate it were painful. You mocked our efforts to explain. ->

3. #Trump wild swings of rhetoric, positions, moods didn’t bother any of you. Whatever Trump said last was best & most true, no matter the word salad in which it was presented. His blatant self-contradictions were obvious to all but to you. ->
