After a suspected Islamist-motivated knife attack in Stolberg, an arrest warrant for dangerous bodily harm was issued against a 21-year-old suspect.
This was announced by a spokesman for the Düsseldorf Public Prosecutor's Office. Accordingly, the man was arrested because of the risk of repetition because he attacked a person with a knife and shouted "Allahu akbar" once in March.
The alleged perpetrator had opened the car door of a 23-year-old on Sunday night. Then he stabbed him with a knife. Before or during the crime, the accused shouted "Allahu akbar" according to investigators. The man was badly injured in the arm and had to have an operation.

On Sunday night, according to the police, he had opened the driver's door of a slow-moving car from the outside and stabbed the driver with a knife. The victim was seriously injured and had surgery in a clinic.
