I have just come to understand that #SuellaBraverman didn’t just use her personal email to ‘mistakenly’ send a confidential but meaningless document.The reason this was discovered was because she sent it to the WRONG PERSON but there’s more.. 1/3🧵
The intended recipient was WIFE of extreme rightwing anti EU backbencher John Hayes (apparently Braverman does nothing without his say so) who had no business being involved anyway. Instead it went to an assistant to Andrew Percy MP for Brigg & Goole who reported the breach 2/3
She then lied about when it was sent when questioned by PM so was forced to resign (receiving the usual ex-cabinet payoff) but now it’s apparently fine to reinstate her despite her showing not only insane incompetence but a national security risk. People need to know this! 3/3
Braverman didn’t make a ‘mistake’, she deliberately tried to circumvent security rules by emailing a market sensitive document to her private email before then trying to send it on to Sir John Hayes for advice. We only know bc she sent it to the wrong person who reported her.

2/The first indication of a far-right presence in anti-vax groups was links to the Workers of England Union in Feb 2021. Run by Robin Tillbrook - leader of the English Democrats Party, they offered legal representation for ppl whose refusal to vaccinate had cost them their jobs.
3/ Tillbrook has a longstanding professional connection to Mark Collett - leader of the far right group Patriotic Alternative.
