@MunenoAndo 4. Look carefully. Against the PLA(N), the TNI are thinking about A2AD ops (in reverse). This is sea denial of the PLA(N) at chokepoints. The TNI will be fighting in over 150 Natuna Islands (in the sea denial fight), 500km to 600km b4 the 800km long Malacca Straits.
Logical for Guardsmen to participate in Ex Garuda Shield — the Natuna Islands (570 km) are w/in range of RSAF CH-47Fs. The SAF’s 7 SIB’s increased familiarisation w USARPAC heli-ops essential for coalition ops.

Given that the scenario is coalition ops in support of the TNI to take back Natuna Islands, golden hour medical evacuation for the injured can be to a role 1 hospital sitting off the coast — eg. RSS Resolution (208) deployed in support of the US Army led coalition air assault.
The SAF did not send airborne troopers to Ex Garuda Shield; instead the army deployment force supported by RSS Resolution (208) was tasked in an air assault role.
