🔺URGENTE! La nave mercantile #TALIA necessita un porto sicuro da giorni! Invece i naufraghi sono ancora in mare! TALIA ha rispettato il diritto internazionale salvando persone in difficoltà nella zona SAR di Malta. Malta sta eludendo i suoi obblighi legali rifiutando lo sbarco!

URGENT! Merchant vessel #TALIA should have been assigned a port of safety long ago! Instead the rescued are still at sea! TALIA has complied with international law by rescuing people in distress in Malta SAR zone. Malta is evading its legal obligations by refusing disembarkation!
TALIA's captain and crew have provided assitance to the rescued but their vessel has been put in danger by Maltese authorities, who denied them shelter during a storm until late night. The health conditions of the rescued are precarious & TALIA cannot take care of them any longer
We demand a quick disembarkation in Malta, the closest safe port, to ensure the health & safety of the rescued as well as the crew. Maltese authorities should stop playing games with people's lives & should comply with international law without delays. Let them disembark NOW!

Secondo TALIA, che ha chiesto supporto ad AlarmPhone e Flotta Civile, RCC Malta ha promesso di trasferire le persone soccorse su navi delle Forze Armate di Malta e sbarcarli a Malta. Non è successo. TALIA è andata verso Lampedusa ma anche l'Italia ha negato un porto sicuro! 2/4

According to #TALIA who turned to us & the Civil Fleet for support, RCC Malta promised to trans-ship the rescued to Armed Forces of Malta assets & to disembark them in Malta. This did not happen. TALIA moved then toward Lampedusa but was denied to enter territorial waters! 2/4
