Today, on #TeachersDay I am glad to announce a new initiative - the development and upgradation of 14,500 schools across India under the Pradhan Mantri Schools For Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana. These will become model schools which will encapsulate the full spirit of NEP.
The PM-SHRI schools will have a modern, transformational and holistic method of imparting education. Emphasis will be on a discovery oriented, learning centric way of teaching. Focus will also be on modern infra including latest technology, smart classrooms, sports and more.
The National Education Policy has transformed the education sector in the recent years. I am certain that the PM-SHRI schools will further benefit lakhs of students across India in the spirit of NEP.

Dr. Salam was from Mohalla Chain Pura, Jhang , he was born on Jan 29, 1926 & he studied in Government High School Jhang in 1934 His mathematics teacher was Professor Anilendra Ganguly. He taught Salam mathematics at Government College University at Lahore.

इन्हें यह नही मालूम कि जिस दिन नयी पीढ़ी में चरित्र, चेतना, संगठन और ताकत आ गयी उस दिन हर क्षेत्र में सत्ता पर बैठे दो नम्बरियो के पुर्जे पुर्जे उड जाऐगे। उनकी सुरक्षा इसलिए हो रही है कि एक के बाद एक रीढहीन पथभ्रष्ट नयी पीढ़ी आती जाती है

1. शिक्षण म्हणजे मनुष्याच्या ठिकाणी जे पूर्णत्व आधीचेच विद्यमान आहे त्याचे प्रकटीकरण.
2.शिक्षण कशाला म्हणावयाचे ? पुस्तके वाचण्याला ? नाही. निरनिराळ्या प्रकारचे ज्ञान मिळविण्याला ? नाही.

Apparently school pick up/drop off is the culprit.

Its #TeachersDay today. So many people to thank. But today I'm going to mention an extraordinary man who left a deep impression on many of us students at Don Bosco School. His name was Fr.Joseph Comandu and he was the Rector at our school during many of our years there
He was from Italy,tall with a flowing beard,twinkling eyes,a great sense of humour and a trademark blue head scarf. What set him apart though was his post class sessions on the play ground. After classes as students played he would come to the ground and seat himself on a bench
Students wd go to him and start talking about their problems. Their fights with friends, their problems at home, their difficulties with their teachers even. He wd listen patiently and offer his advise, often with a story to illustrate his point. And he wd instil belief in them.
In our politics, we desperately need to bring focus back on these core issues

The rising cost in education has made it very difficult for financially weak families in India to let their children pursue studies.
An Engineering course on avg costs ₹63,280 per year plus stay.
Remember, the average per capita income in India is about ₹10,500 per month.

The #pandemic has changed the school experience for teachers, students, and parents. This is being called the ‘new normal’ and not everything about it is right.
The classic ‘keep quiet’ has turned into ‘mute yourself’, while the teacher struggles to finish an online class with, hopefully, minimal disturbances. That’s the least of all the adjustments that everyone has had to make.
