Day 1 of #TeamAtlas assisting in the Kherson region today.

As a result of this thread, I did an image search for “golden book encyclopedia” (which we didn’t have/use) and some of those images are a bit yikes
I also really loved reading the Rhyming Dictionary.

El nombre Atlas (o Atlante) tiene un etimología discutida. Muchos señalan la relación con el verbo griego τλῆναι (tlēnai), de la raíz indoeuropea *telh₂, que significa soportar, lo que se refiere a su cualidad de soporte de los cielos.
Virgilio lo asocia con la idea de algo fuerte, "durus", que soporta pero que también permanece (que dura) lo cual podría relacionarse con su relación con ciertas montañas, de la que ya hablaremos más abajo.
