As of this morning, the City of Toronto and Team Toronto vaccination partners have administered a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to more than 50 per cent of Torontonians age 16 to 19.
Many of the 62,601 people age 16 to 19 who have now received their first dose of vaccine were vaccinated within the last week at one of the City-run, partner-run or pop-up clinics held across Toronto.

The City of Toronto and Team Toronto vaccination partners have launched a “Homebound Sprint” to deliver first doses of COVID-19 vaccine to all remaining homebound Toronto residents.
The team focused on vaccinating homebound Torontonians in their place of residence has already administered a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to more than 65 per cent of those residents, in many cases also vaccinating the resident’s essential caregiver at the same time.

As of 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 23, the City will be opening vaccination appointments at City-run immunization clinics to youth age 12 to 17. Those registering for vaccination appointments must be at least 12 years old at the time of booking.
This Victoria Day long weekend, the City is encouraging all residents to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Approximately 7,799 spots remain available at City-run clinics.

This Sunday, May 23, the City of Toronto is partnering with @UHN to host a pop-up vaccination clinic in the Rotunda at City Hall, which can be accessed from Nathan Philips Square.
UHN will operate the clinic starting at 10 a.m. The clinic will remain open until the 2,000 doses available are administered.

Following a successful first two weeks rolling out the Toronto Sprint Strategy, the #CityofTO and #TeamToronto vaccination partners continue to prioritize postal code areas with high rates of #COVID19 for mobile and pop-up clinic vaccinations
The Sprint Strategy targeted 13 postal code areas last week and tripled the number of per-week doses available to the prioritized communities. Over the course of the week, vaccine coverage of adults age 18 and older in the 13 areas moved from approximately 12% to more than 35%.

Today, Mayor @JohnTory announced the #CityofTO and vaccination partners have now administered at least a first dose of vaccine to 40 per cent of eligible Torontonians.
#TeamToronto was able to reach this preliminary goal thanks to a vaccination network that includes the City, @TOPublicHealth, hospitals, pharmacies, Ontario Health Teams, Local Health Integration Networks, community clinics, primary care physicians and community groups.
