1/ As I've said before, I've spent whatever free time I could over the last week or so going back over $TSLA $TSLAQ earnings calls (back to 2012). It was quite a task. But, as promised, here is a thread on some of my favorite tidbits from those calls (in chronological order)
2/ 4Q12 Earnings call:
As we have all come to know, when Elon says "I'm highly confident that ________" whatever fills that blank has next to no chance of happening. In this case, it was an ex-ZEV credit GM >25%.
In 2013, $TSLA ex-ZEV credit GM was 14.3%
3/ 4Q12 Earnings Call:
The above holds true - this time he upped the ante. Elon was "really highly confident" that $TSLA would be profitable in Q2-Q4 2013. $TSLA posted a net loss in all 3 of those quarters, losing a total of $85.3 million.

$TSLA - 1/parking lots full of White Model 3s and two Semis worth of burnt Tesla’s:

These things are very much connected.

@Allstate @StateFarm @Nationwide @TheHartford @LibertyMutual @Progressive @USAA @GEICO @AAASafety @AAAauto @KemperInsurance @CSAAInsuranceGp @Travelers
2/Why all the White Tesla’s?

We have had numerous #SAF reports of parking lots full of White Model 3s.

3/We know that white is actually a popular color in the United States.

But, so is black.

Again, why would Tesla choose to produce more white?

Anybody in for a bet?

My thesis: Model 3 will have HEAVY rust problems, which do not occur in Avocado country, but will do so in the rest of the world.

substantiation, see thread.
Would love to see critical comment of @ex_Tesla!

Model X and S have an aluminium chassis due to the possible weight reduction, whereas Model 3 has an aluminum/steel body, because this is way cheaper.

Different metals have different electrical potentials, some shown in the picture.
If you take two metals with a different potential together, you are able to measure a voltage (thats basically how a battery works...). You only have to worry about that in measuring technology.
