I DEDICATE THIS TO THE GREAT PEOPLE OF EPE IN LAGOS STATE.
Chief Balogun Landuji Oshodi Tapa was an outstanding warrior and a statesman. During the reign of King Eshilokun, he immigrated to Lagos from Bida in what is now known as the Niger State. This was after he had lost his parents in a tribal war when he was only six years old.

Once upon a time, there lived a poor farmer in a village with his wife. One day, the farmer bought a goose thinking that the goose will lay eggs which he can eat and sell the remaining. He took the goose home and made a nest for it to lay eggs.
Next day morning, the farmer went to the nest to check if the goose has laid any eggs. To his surprise, the goose had laid a golden egg. The farmer went to the town and sold the golden egg for a good price. The goose started laying a golden egg every day.

Many don't know him by his name, he is widely known as baba alajo Somolu.

He was born at a very dangerous time; a perilous period in history. It was on the 16th of September 1915 in the city of Isan-Oyin (now called Isonyin); close to Ijebu-Musin and Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State
southwestern Nigeria. Within the thick groves of thick forests and the brilliant foliage of green tropical plants, the cries of newly-born babies pierced the calm and peace of the forest.

Adegoke Adelabu attended St. David’s C.M.S School in Kudeti, Ibadan from 1925 to 1929; CMS Central School, Mapo, Ibadan in 1930 and Government College, where he was a head boy, from 1931 to 1936.
