I'm an expert on COVID epidemiology, policy & long COVID in children. I co-authored the piece group of authors representing a diverse group based on their expertise- it wasn't a 'comment'- it was an evidenced referenced peer-reviewed analysis. All evidence is referenced.
Oh, and I didn't invite authors (UK paeds leadership) who've facilitated the failures in policy we discuss. Because- see above. If you want to critique, critique the comprehensive evidence presented, rather than going after the authors.
Every time someone attacks it, I'm going to put it right here- pease read & share. This is creating a stir- precisely because it's a well-evidenced analysis showing how children were failed in the UK - by govt & scientists.

Yesterday I got locked out of tweeting after Twitter deemed a tweet of mine comparing current UK policy with GBD promoted policy violated twitter rules. So, I want to apologise to GBD promoters- I was wrong- what GBD promoted was much worse, because it was pre-vax and therapies🧵
I was too generous in my assessment - and I apologise for that. Clearly even that was enough to get me mass targeted. Now, that I've been 'cancelled' like certain GBD supporters, I expect that the Guardian, and Express will write pieces on how I've been 'silenced'... <sarcasm>
I'm standing by in case you want to reach out. I also hope that being 'cancelled' will now open up the world of writing op-eds for the Spectator, and being on Radio 4, and meeting with Rishi Sunak, and advising the PM. I can now truly get on the hot 'I've been cancelled' brigade.

Completely stand with @Kit_Yates_Maths whose been subjected to a disgusting hit piece - in the Daily Fail. Research shows huge reductions in flu(95%⬇️), bronchilotis (82%), measles(90%), meningitis(50%) hosp in children during the pandemic. Why shouldn't we aim for this?
Since when is 'doing more' to prevent flu and prevent deaths from flu a bad thing? If simple things like better ventilation, masks can do this- for all airborne pathogens, then worthwhile also considering these additional benefits- It's clear that much more disease is preventable
Interested in the UK media culture where scientists who're talking about saving potentially thousands of lives every year with simple measures we need anyway for SARS-CoV-2 are targeted in this manner. While those who talk about 'acceptable deaths' are widely platformed.
