Ne pas protéger l’ensemble des écosystèmes boisés, c’est faire un immense cadeau à l’industrie de l’élevage ; au détriment de la nature.
Pour nourrir son bétail, l’UE importe massivement du soja qui déforeste des écosystèmes sensibles comme le Cerrado. Cet écosystème brésilien est constitué majoritairement de terres appelées "autres terres boisées" qui sont ravagées par les cultures de soja

In the past few days @ConvocaPe @pulitzercenter published a joint global investigation into the @RSPOtweets it is absolutely NOT effective in stopping #deforestation or handling #humanrights complaints - it fails. pulitzercenter.org/stories/rspo-o…

As 🇪🇺 Europe is the second biggest consumer market in the world, this law could have a huge impact on companies that destroy forests to sell food in our supermarkets.
Palm oil corporations, whose products are found in so many of our foods, are gaslighting us & greenwashing a horrifically exploitative & damaging industry. They are responsible for deforestation and are driving many species to extinction.
