Three years ago today, we promised to sue Donald Trump over his baseless, illogical ban on transgender military service.
Today, we’re still in court.
Trans people are not a burden or disruption. Trans medical care is far from tremendous. It is life-saving. It is essential.

Trump’s #TransMilitaryBan is nonsensical. Its reasoning has been rejected by public health institutions and the military’s own leadership and budget analysts. Trans care costs the military less than 1% of *just* its health budget.
The military is the largest employer of trans people in the United States. The #TransMilitaryBan is nothing but a bigoted attempt to erase trans people from public life and deprive them of opportunities often denied due to discrimination in health care, housing, and employment.

ICYMI: Just before the holidays, a federal court ordered the Department of Defense to turn over documents withheld regarding the Trump-Pence administration’s #TransMilitaryBan—including documents about the alleged justifications behind the ban.

The court handed us a significant victory on a number of fronts tonight, while also denying a part of our summary judgment motion. The court also clearly did not buy that @realDonaldTrump & @VP’s implementations “plan” from 3/23 is new.
