CHINHOYI CAVES 🇿🇼

Enchanting and deep history.

Think clear bottomless pool, blue waters, dark caves, underground rivers, beautiful fish, lions, a laid back picnic, green lawn and endless tunnels 🍹🧜‍♀️ 🌊 🌴 🌞

Definitely worth a visit!

You could go on a day trip, stop on your way, camp overnight or stay at the motel.

We went on a day trip from Harare. It's ~134 km, so it took us 1.5 h to get there.

The road is very good so even a small car would be fine.

Made a quick stop in Chinhoyi town to get supplies.

Types of people you lol meet on a group weekend getaway.. Thread based on my observations.

👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾
The Happy Goer. It doesn’t matter what destination it is, they will be having fun all the way, playing music, drinking, singing loudly, chatting and laughing. They will stop you lots of times for recess and roadside pics. By the time you arrive, they will be sleeping, exhausted.
The Picture Perfect. They don’t talk much, they will be having their smartphone, dressed up and will be taking pictures of almost everything, the drinks, the road, the car.. Usually always behind their phone. They talk when they want you to take them a pic or send them pics.

Things to prepare for when traveling in Zimbabwe: Thread

Challenges are meant to be overcome. But you can’t overcome what you don’t know. So this is why we have created these pointers to help you out plan for your travels.

Read carefully.
1. PRICE. You’ll realize that most things here don’t come cheap, from accommodation, transport, food etc. So prepare in advance, secure contracts in time to cover yourself from price changes. Have some extra money on you in case of the unknown.
2. ACCESSIBILITY. Some places may pose challenges for you to access them. Eg when going to Binga, it’s not as easy. Same with Mtarazi Falls in Nyanga, or Gonarezhou National Park. Roads can be bad, especially in the rainy season. Make sure you vehicle is fit for the road.
