⚖️ @TheDemocrats aren’t keen on facts nor is @maddow but for anyone interested, the appointment of Matt Whitaker follows the exact letter of the law, he was the first assistant. For all those @SenateDems unable to read “The @POTUS and ONLY the POTUS” directs that person to serve. 
So #TrumpIsNotAboveTheLaw protestors should change their hashtag to #TrumpIsFollowingTheLaw which makes your anger very bizarre. Anyway here is confirmation from the Federal Register that Whitaker was first assistant to AG.

This is a pretty clear attempt from Trump to seize some control over the investigation. WHITAKER CAN NOT RUN THIS INVESTIGATION. We need to demand that he commit to let Mueller run things independently, or recuse from the investigation like Sessions did.
